At Sterling One Foundation, our climate action efforts are centered on driving environmental sustainability through practical, community-led solutions that promote responsible waste management, improve agricultural resilience, and mitigate climate risks. We believe that long-term food security and climate resilience go hand in hand, and our work reflects this intersection.

Agroforestry for Climate Action Project
Tree planting is often touted as one of the most effective tools to combat the climate crisis and restore biodiversity. Trees are natural carbon capture and storage machines, but poorly planned reforestation and afforestation projects can actually increase emissions and harm ecosystems.

The SOF-SACAP is designed to increase the resilience of ecosystems, help minimize climate change effects, counteract soil and biodiversity loss and improve human well-being. From collecting seed to growing and planting seedlings, and growing food crops via sustainable agroforestry, we both directly and indirectly generate jobs and economic activity — which can have a profound impact on local economies.
Beach Adoption &
Cleanup Program
Our Beach Cleanup activity is a periodic climate action event that ensures we reduce the amount of plastic on our beachfronts.
This involves adoption of beaches and empowerment of youths and women within coastal communities to handle proper waste management.

Waste Management &
Recycling Project
This project aims to provide guidelines on waste reduction, segregation, collection and disposal practices in accordance with international best practices.

Waste segregation practices should be encouraged at the point of waste generation. Separation of waste will contribute to better management of the total waste mass. Recycling of waste after sorting is an important feature in handling waste products.
The SOF-WMRP aims to provide guidelines on waste reduction, segregation, collection and disposal practices in accordance with international best practices, to avoid deterioration of the natural environment and negative impact on the health and safety of communities. This helps in the promotion and advocacy of a Circular Economy.
